How Big Will My Dainty Family Fingerprint Necklace Be?
Each separate dainty fingerprint shape measures approximately 9mm across although this will vary very slightly depending on the shape chosen.
For instance. dainty fingerprint discs. stars. and halos measure approximately 9mm across; moons and raindrops measure 9mm diagonally; hearts measure slightly smaller at 8mm across and both ovals and mini dog tags are slightly larger at 13mm when measured vertically.
When shapes are joined together as seen here with the three stars. the size will be very approximately x3 (although this does depend on exactly where you would like the shapes to be joined).
Each pendant is made to capture a real moulded fingerprint rather than an engraving. although we are also able to engrave ink prints if necessary.
They are all made to be reassuringly deep at approximately 2mm. giving every impression a wonderful 3-dimensional quality.
How Much Room Is There For Extra Details?
To fit your fingerprints onto these tiny gold necklaces. any custom hand engraving needs to be on the reverse.
There is plenty of space for one single letter or initial on the reverse of each pendant shape to identify the owner of the different fingerprints.

As the fingerprint takes up the entire surface of each piece. we are unable to set birthstones or diamonds into them but we can create separate gemstone settings on request.

Chains are 18" or 45cm as standard but can be ordered in various lengths on request.
Layering dainty pendants on different chains often works best when chains are different lengths.
